God's Girls

We have heard all our lives and been taught story after story about the men of the Bible—David, Abraham, Noah, Moses, the disciples, Paul, and on and on. No doubt their stories are amazing. Today, however, I’m thinking of the women in the Bible and reminded how much God loves His daughters. He gifts us. He includes us. He redeems us. He loves us. and, He holds us securely in His grace.

God's GIRLS Are:

G.....Gifted for service, like Tabitha, who used her gifts and talents to serve others. (Acts 9: 36-42)
But to each one of us grace has been given as Christ apportioned it... He gave some to be apostles, some to be prophets, and evangelists, and pastors and teachers, 2 to prepare God's people for works of service, so that the body of Christ may be built up. (Ephesians 4:7a, 11-12)

I.....Included in Christ, like Lydia, Who started hosted the first house-church in Europe. (Acts 16:13-15)
And you also were included in Christ when you heard the message of truth, the gospel of your salvation (Ephesians 1:13a)

R.....Redeemed through His blood, like the woman caught in adultery, to whom Jesus showed forgiveness and freedom. (John 8:2-11)
In him we have redemption through his blood, the forgiveness of sins, in accordance with the riches of God’s grace 8 that he lavished on us. With all wisdom and understanding (Ephesians 1:7-8)

L.....Loved to love others, like the crippled woman in the synagogue, whom Jesus saw, touched and healed. (Luke 13:10-17)
Follow God’s example, therefore, as dearly loved children and walk in the way of love, just as Christ loved us and gave himself up for us as a fragrant offering and sacrifice to God. (Ephesians 5:1-2)

S.....Secure in His grace, like Mary the mother of Jesus, whom Jesus made provision for, even from the cross. (John 19:25-27)
When you believed, you were marked in him with a seal, the promised Holy Spirit,  who is a deposit guaranteeing our inheritance until the redemption of those who are God’s possession—to the praise of his glory.  (Ephesians 1:13b-14)

I’m so thankful God loves His daughters and has a special place for us in His heart.

...to all who did receive him, to those who believed in his name, he gave the right to become children of God… (John 1:12)
